Al Ahly’s women’s handball team secured the Egyptian Super Cup title with a 29-25 victory over Al Shams in a thrilling final at City Club Hall in Tanta on Thursday evening.
The match saw Al Ahly trailing 14-11 at halftime, with both sides delivering a strong first-half performance.
However, the second half witnessed a stunning comeback from Al Ahly, sparked by key performances from Nasra Eid, Taqa Kamel, and goalkeeper Menat Allah Said.
Al Ahly’s dominant second-half display saw them overturn the deficit, sealing the 29-25 win and their first Super Cup title in recent years.
The team had reached the final after a dominant 33-19 win over Sporting in the semifinal.
