Al Ahly’s board of directors, headed by President Captain Mahmoud El Khatib inaugurated the club’s branch in Luxor in a huge ceremony that is currently held.
Luxor's branch was officially inaugurated in a huge ceremony, in the presence of the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Al Ahly's board members, some of the club's icons, public figures as well as Saif Al Waziri, CEO and managing director of Estadat Company.
The ceremony started with playing the Egyptian national anthem and it was followed by the club’s anthem.
Then a short movie was displayed to the audience, which highlighted the club's achievements and accomplishments.
Also, another short movie was played afterward about Al Ahly’s Luxor branch.
The ceremony will witness a speech from Minister Sobhy and President El Khatib; in addition to a variety of art performances.
Al Ahly’s branch in Luxor is the biggest in the governorate as it is built on 13 acres of land and includes:
- Football stadium with a capacity of 5000 fans.
- Several arenas for the individual and sports teams.
- Olympic swimming pool.
- Indoor hall.
- Five-a-side pitches.
- Social building.
- Several arenas to serve the club's football, basketball, handball, and volleyball academies.
- Gym.
- Mosque.
