Al Ahly head coach Jess Thorup and his coaching staff travelled to Denmark shortly after the team’s arrival at Cairo International Airport, taking a brief leave to visit their families after the squad was granted five days of rest.
The team will resume training once the break ends as they prepare to face Enppi on 11 December in the opening round of the Egypt Capital Cup.
Al Ahly’s delegation arrived in Cairo on Saturday morning from Morocco following their 1-1 draw with FAR Rabat in the second round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
