Al Ahly’s U13 Water Polo team win ‘Olympics Way’ tournament in Istanbul

Al Ahly’s U13 water polo team, comprising players born in 2012, clinched the title at the friendly Olympics Way tournament in Istanbul, Turkey, edging Turkish side Galatasaray 7-6 in the final.

The Cairo giants secured their place in the final after a 6-3 victory over another Turkish team KSSK in the semifinals.

The tournament, which ran from 1- to 3 August, featured competitive youth teams from across the region.

Al Ahly’s delegation included Wael Ezzat, head of aquatic sports and team leader; Karim Monir, deputy director of the youth sector; and team manager Nour Adel, supported by coaches Ahmed Adel, Mostafa Abdel Fattah, and Mohamed Hani.

The squad featured a group of promising young athletes, such as Adam Ahmed Shawky, Adam Mohamed Hesab, Adam Omar Khalil, Adham Ahmed El-Zayat, and Ahmed Ashraf Ahmed, among others.

Al Ahly’s victory reflects the club’s growing strength in youth water polo and highlights its commitment to nurturing the next generation of champions.
