Gradišar’s strike seals victory over Petrojet

As we got back to the Egyptian Premier League action, the Reds claimed a 3-2 win over Petrojet at the Military Academy Stadium.

The Reds controlled most of the game. Wessam Abou Ali opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a clever assist from Emam Ashour before Amr El Soulia added the second goal just five minutes later.

Petrojet fought back, scoring from the penalty spot in the 44th minute through Rashad El Metwally and equalizing just before halftime through Lucky Emmanuel.

In the second half, Nejc Gradišar, who came on for Achraf Bencharki, made an instant impact by firing in the winning goal in the 62nd minute after a precise pass from Mohamed Hany. Emam Ashour added another just moments later, but it was ruled out following the VAR review.

A few moments later, the match ended with a hard-earned 3-2 win for the Eagles.
