CAF confirmed on Monday that Ayman Ashraf, our defender, will be available for the game against Esperance of Tunisia in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
Al Ahly sent a letter earlier to CAF, inquiring about the availability of Ashraf for the game after receiving a yellow card during the CAF Super Cup match against RS Berkane of Morocco, which was held on 28 May and ended with a 2-0 win for the Red Eagles.
CAF highlighted in their letter that the CAF Super Cup is a separate competition and that the yellow cards which are given in the match do not carry on to other competitions.
