Al Ahly women’s basketball player, Farida Wael expressed her happiness following the team’s victory over Sporting SC in the first leg of the National League final.

Wael spoke after the end of the game, confirming that Al Ahly’s women's basketball team will put their maximum efforts in the upcoming game in order to make sure that the Red Eagles win the title.

“We played a great game today, in spite of the huge pressure which was on us, due to the PCR results arriving late. Moreover, the fact that our youth team won their game in the first leg of the final motivated us to win our game.”

“Also, our coaching staff motivated us before the game to achieve an important victory. They also provided us with detailed information about our opponent, which made us ready for the match.”

Al Ahly’s ladies basketball team defeated Sporting SC 84-73 in the first leg of the National League final.

While our youth team defeated Sporting SC’s youth team 77-60.
