Al Ahly men’s volleyball team’s new signing Krasimir Georgiev expressed his happiness to join Al Ahly, adding that it did not take him much time to accept the club’s offer.

We had a chance to sit down with Georgiev to ask him about his feelings after joining Al Ahly.

“At the beginning, I would like to congratulate Al Ahly fans and the football first-team players on winning the bronze medal in the FIFA Club World Cup.”

“The negotiations went very fast. My agent told me that I had an offer from Al Ahly and that the club is the biggest in Egypt and it is like the Real Madrid of Africa. I read about the club and everything that I found encouraged me to sign for Al Ahly.”

“I am impressed with the level of professionalism in the club. I always like to play for teams that want to win every game and fight to win every title. It is a very good opportunity for me.”

“I knew many players in the team as they are playing for the Egyptian national team. They supported me and helped me adapt very well. They made everything easy for me.”

“I won the Challenge Cup in 2018 with Italy’s Bunge Ravenna and I also won the domestic double in Romania with Arcada Galați. I was also named the best blocker in the French League in 2019.”

“I hope to help the team win more domestic and international titles. I also would like to send a message to our fans to keep supporting the team to win more titles.”
