Al Ahly booked their place in the final of the African Handball Championship with a dominant 37-14 victory over Cameroon’s FAP in the semifinals on Sunday in Morocco.
The Red Eagles took control early, leading 19-8 at halftime, and maintained their momentum in the second half to claim a sixth consecutive win in the tournament.
Al Ahly reached the semifinals with a perfect record in the group stage, securing wins over Ethiopia’s Mekelle 70 (41-11), Ivory Coast’s Red Star (29-12), DR Congo’s JSK (29-19), and Rwanda’s Police HC (55-20). They went on to defeat Benin’s Flowers (43-22) in the quarterfinals.
Al Ahly will face either Morocco’s Montada or Ivory Coast’s Red Star in the final on Monday.
