Al Ahly men’s handball team secured a comfortable 24-14 victory over Al Zohour in their opening match of the Egyptian Professional Handball League on Friday.
The game, held at Al Zohour arena, began with a competitive first half, but Al Ahly managed to pull ahead and went into the break leading 9-5.
The Red Eagles extended their dominance in the second half, capitalizing on their players’ experience to close out the match with a ten-goal margin.
Head coach David Davis of Spain made several substitutions throughout the match to give playing time to a wide range of players as the team kicks off its domestic campaign.
