Egypt’s Al Ahly will begin their African Handball Champions League campaign on Saturday with a Group A clash against Ethiopia’s Mekelle 70 in Casablanca.
The match is set to take place at the Mohammed V Arena and will kick off at 6 p.m. local time in Cairo (GMT+3).
The continental tournament runs from 11 to 20 October in Morocco.
Al Ahly, coached by Spaniard David Davis, are among the title contenders and are seeking a strong start to their campaign.
The team recently beat Morocco’s FAR Rabat 43–28 in a warm-up match, claiming the Prince Moulay El Hassan Cup.
The Cairo-based club are aiming to add another African title to their decorated record.
