Injury update on Al Ahly’s sidelined quartet

Al Ahly football team doctor Dr. Ahmed Gaballah has provided an update on the status of four first-team players currently undergoing treatment.

Gaballah confirmed that midfielder Emam Ashour’s condition is stable and showing steady improvement. His medical tests are being monitored regularly, with further assessments scheduled for early next week.

A notable improvement is expected, particularly as the player has remained committed to the club’s prescribed treatment and nutrition programme.

Once fully recovered, Ashour will begin a rehabilitation phase to prepare for a return to full training.

Defender Karim Fouad is continuing his physiotherapy and rehabilitation following a quadriceps injury.

He is undergoing preparations for a return to action and will have new scans next week to assess his progress and determine when he can rejoin training.

Gaballah also revealed that defender Achraf Dari has suffered a new injury, a tear in the abdominal tendon, commonly referred to as a sports hernia.

The Moroccan international will undergo additional scans and medical tests to establish the appropriate course of treatment.

Midfielder Ahmed Reda, meanwhile, experienced knee pain during a recent training session.

The necessary medical procedures, including MRI scans, have been completed, and the player is being prepared to resume training after the international break.
