Inside El Tetsh: Starting Preparations for the World Cup

Al Ahly first team returned on Wednesday to El Tetsh stadium to start our preparations for the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled between 4 and 11 February in Qatar. 

The first team underwent a COVID-19 test before the training, as part of the preparations for our participation in the prestigious competition. 

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane held a meeting with the players ahead of today’s training session at El Tetsh stadium. 

Mosimane discussed with the players some technical points from our match against Pyramids FC as well as the team’s preparations for the FIFA Club World Cup.
 
Also, Mosimane held a meeting with the team’s striker Walter Bwalya on the sidelines of the training to support the player and motivate him to show his best performance in the upcoming period.

Ahmed Ramadan Beckham took part in the game against Pyramids FC and our manager met with the player to motivate him to show his best in the next stage. 

The training session witnessed the return of our midfielder Akram Tawfik after testing negative for COVID-19. 

Moreover, our players Walid Soliman and Karim Nedved resumed their recovery sessions under the supervision of the team’s physiotherapist, Dr. Tarek Abdelaziz.

Al Ahly’s first team will travel to Qatar on Friday, as we will be playing Qatar’s Al-Duhail SC on the 4th of February in our first match in the FIFA Club World Cup.
