Intense competition at Al Ahly International Tennis Championship

The tennis courts at Al Ahly’s headquarters in Gezira are hosting strong competition at Al Ahly International Junior Tennis Championship (Under-18), which runs until May 10 and features broad international participation.

A series of hard-fought matches took place on Tuesday in the main draw as players battled for places in the knockout stages.

Around 150 players representing 25 countries are competing for the title.

The tournament is being staged amid extensive preparations by the organising committee, with tournament director Ahmed Tarek and administrative director Ahmed Abdel Ghani closely overseeing match arrangements.

Organisers say they are working to ensure conditions and a level of organisation that reflect the scale of international participation, while providing necessary support and comfort for players and delegations throughout the event.
