Al Ahly's Board of Directors, chaired by club president Mahmoud El Khatib, has appointed board member Tarek Kandil to head the first-team delegation travelling to Spain on Thursday.
The team will hold a pre-season training camp from 6 to 20 August as part of their preparations for the new season.
The camp will conclude with a high-profile friendly against Barcelona at Spotify Camp Nou on 19 August as part of the 61st edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy (La Festa del Gamper Estrella Damm).
