Al Ahly’s new signing, Mohamed Mohsen, expressed his happiness after signing a 4-year contract with our men’s volleyball team, noting that he is delighted to wear the red jersey.

Mohsen signed his contract in the presence of the team’s coach, Mohamed Mselhy, and Raouf Abdelkader, our general director of sports activities.

Following his presentation as a new Al Ahly player, we had the chance to meet him and discuss his ambitions with the team and how he sees his move to the African Club of the Century.

“I am so happy to join Al Ahly. It is a great honor to defend the red jersey.  I will do my best and I hope to be an addition to this great team. I am aware of the great successes of Al Ahly’s volleyball team and I want to contribute with my new teammates in achieving more success.”  

“I know the value of the club and the massive support of our passionate fans. I had many offers from clubs in Europe, but when Al Ahly knocks the door, yes must be the answer.”

“I want to win everything here and write a new history for the club and also for myself. The team has everything to succeed and achieve more records.”

“I have a great relationship with my new teammates. They are my friends on the national team and I am sure that I will adapt quickly with them.”

“The team has many great players in my position, in particular. So, I have to fight to earn a place in the starting line-up.”

“I am so happy to work alongside coach Mselhy. He is a great coach and he knows how to deal with the players.”

Mohsen concluded his interview by promising Al Ahly fans that he will do his best and make them happy.
