Pitso Mosimane, Al Ahly’s head coach, expressed his happiness after attending the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of Al Ahly Stadium. 

"Al Ahly is not great because of our achievements on the pitch, but also it is great because of our accomplishments out the field."

“I would like to praise the crucial role of the club’s board of directors, headed by president Mahmoud El Khatib as they always think about the future."

"Also, they care a lot about the advertising and marketing and they will build a great stadium such as the European clubs.”

On a similar note, the stadium will be established on an area that is about 48,000 meters, aside from the other surrounding buildings; such as training grounds and the indoor hall. Also, it is expected to be finished within 5 years and it will have a capacity of 50,000 fans.

Additionally, Al Ahly's board of directors expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to president Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his great support to Egyptian sports and all its institutions, including Al Ahly.
