Al Ahly Director of Football Sayed Abdelhafiz stated that we have been handed a balanced group in the CAF Champions League group stage.
The draw, which was held in Cairo on Friday, put Al Ahly in group A alongside Congo's AS Vita Club, Tanzania's Simba SC and Sudan's Al Merrikh.
Abdelhafiz added that he is satisfied with the dates of the CAF Champions League group stage fixtures.
"Group stage matches are similar to the league matches as we aim to gain maximum points. We also hope to achieve good results in away matches."
