Al Ahly basketball women’s team manager Aly Hashem revaled his happiness after the team was crowned league champions on Friday.

“We had a strong game in light of our big desire to win the trophy and make our fan happy.” Hesham said.

The team achieved a narrow 75-72 victory over Sporting at 6 October hall to win the league title.

Al-Ahly ladies were down 1–0 in the series but they bounced back and won the next two games to win the league title in style.

Hashem added “Our performance in the last two matches show Al Ahly’s DNA. We deserve the title after our strong performances in the whole season.”
