Al Ahly resumed training at El Tetsh Stadium on Monday evening as head coach Jess Thorup began preparations for Wednesday’s Egyptian Premier League clash against Ismaily.
The fixture, a postponed match from Round 14, will be held at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Before the session, Thorup held a tactical lecture with his squad to address the challenges of the upcoming domestic schedule.
The Danish coach emphasized the importance of the Ismaily fixture as the club pivots back to league play.
Monday's session included intensive physical conditioning followed by ball-work drills specifically tailored to the tactical requirements of the midweek match.
The technical staff has temporarily put aside their CAF Champions League campaign.
