Al Ahly men’s volleyball team extended their domestic dominance on Wednesday, clinching a third consecutive Super League title with a commanding 3-0 victory over arch-rivals Zamalek in the playoff final.
Played at the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall, Al Ahly delivered a clinical performance to underline their status as Egypt’s premier volleyball side.
Al Ahly set the tone early, neutralising Zamalek’s attack to take the opening set 25-18.
The defending champions maintained their momentum in the second set, using aggressive serving and a strong defensive block to pull clear for a 25-19 win.
Determined to avoid a fourth set, Al Ahly kept their composure in the third. Despite a late push from Zamalek, they closed out the match 25-21 to spark celebrations.
The victory completes a domestic treble for Al Ahly this season, with the Super League title adding to their Egyptian Super Cup and league crowns already secured earlier in the campaign.
