Al Ahly SC men’s volleyball team secured their 24th Egypt Cup title after edging arch-rivals Zamalek 3-2 in a dramatic final on Friday at Hassan Mostafa Hall.
Al Ahly delivered a commanding performance, excelling in blocking and powerful attacking to retain the cup for the third consecutive season.
The team took the opening set 29-27 following a remarkable comeback, then extended their lead by claiming the second set 25-23 with continued offensive dominance.
Zamalek fought back to level the match, winning the third and fourth sets 25–22 and 25–22, respectively.
However, Al Ahly held their nerve in the deciding fifth set, sealing both the match and the title with a 15–13 victory.
The triumph marks Al Ahly’s fourth trophy of the season, adding the Egypt Cup to their haul of the League Championship and the Super Cup.
