Al Ahly women’s first volleyball team opened their African Clubs Championship campaign with a 3-0 victory over Ethiopia’s National Alcohol team on Monday at the club’s headquarters.
Al Ahly SC is hosting the continental tournament from 11-24 April.
The match began at 5 p.m. at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Hall, where Al Ahly delivered a strong performance, particularly in blocking and attacking, to make a dominant start to their campaign.
The Red Eagles took the first set 25-4, maintained control in the second with a 25-9 win, and sealed the third set - and the match - with another 25-9 victory.
