Al Ahly SC women’s volleyball team claimed the Egyptian Super League title for a record 42nd time on Monday with a 3-0 victory over Zamalek in the final.
The match at Hassan Mostafa Hall saw Al Ahly deliver a commanding performance, excelling in blocking and attack to retain their crown.
They edged a tightly contested first set 29-27 before taking control with a 25-14 win in the second.
Al Ahly sealed the title by claiming the third set 25-16, extending their remarkable run to 31 consecutive league titles.
The victory marked their fourth trophy of the season after lifting the League Cup, Super Cup and Egypt Cup.
