Al Ahly’s women’s basketball team booked a place in the semifinals of the 29th Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA) with a dominant 98-55 victory over DR Congo’s CNSS in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Hosts Al Ahly set the tone early, taking a 30-21 lead at the end of the first quarter and carrying a narrow 45-41 advantage into halftime.
They pulled away after the break, extending their lead to 69-51 by the end of the third quarter, before completing a comprehensive win in the final period to seal a 98-55 result.
