Al Ahly women’s basketball team will face Rwanda’s APR on Sunday in the semifinals of the 29th Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA), which the Cairo-based club is hosting through 15 December.
The game will be played at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Hall at 7:30 p.m. local time (GMT+2), with Al Ahly aiming to book a place in the final.
Al Ahly advanced to the knockout stage as winners of Group A, posting a perfect record with wins over Côte d’Ivoire’s Friends Basketball Association, Rwanda’s REG, and Angola’s Sporting Clube de Luanda.
They secured their semifinal berth with a commanding 98-55 victory over DR Congo’s CNSS in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
