Raouf Abdelkader, Al Ahly's General Director of Sports Activities, stated that our youth basketball team delegation returned from Ismailia following their win over Al Ittihad Alexandria's youth team in the first leg of the National League final, after coordinating with the club's board and the club's medical committee.

The medical committee recommended that all the players must self-isolate, as 9 Al Ittihad players tested positive for COVID-19. 

Abdelkader added that announcing the results of the COVID-19 test after the match caused a huge crisis as it may have infected some of Al Ahly's players, confirming that the players will undergo a COVID-19 test and will follow all the precautionary measures. 

Abdelkader stated that the club formed a committee to monitor the players' medical condition. 

Al Ahly's General Director of Sports Activities said that the Basketball Federation should have postponed the matches for 48 hours until they get the results of the COVID-19 test, affirming that Al Ahly did not call for suspending the sports activities and were the first club to call for resuming all the competitions while adhering to the precautionary measures.
