Al Ahly Media Production Company held an important meeting on Wednesday to discuss several important files.
After the end of their meeting, the company made the following statements:
Al Ahly Media Production Company refuses all the actions taken by the company, which is owned by Estadat, that have the rights to moderate Al Ahly TV channel.
Moreover, the club's media production company firmly rejects the removal and the refusal to broadcast several related materials to the club on Al Ahly TV Channel, which contradicts with all the signed contracts.
As a result, the company took the below decisions:
- Preventing all the players and the coaching staffs of the club from appearing on the channel until Estadat abides by the contracts which were signed between all parties. Also, the club must recieve an official response from Estadat, confirming that the moderating company of the channel will abide by the club's regulations and policies, as Al Ahly TV Channel should represent the club's point of view.
- Starting the negotiations with Al Ahly Football Club’s Company for the airing rights of the club’s football first team’s games in the upcoming season. Al Ahly Media Production Company is then expected to promote these airing rights in a way that is done to gain financial revenue that is equivalent to the club’s huge name and history.
- Proposing a lawsuit against Zamalek’s president to Al Ahly’s board of directors in the board’s next meeting. Zamalek’s president has verbally attacked several officials of Al Ahly SC in his recent comments for Zamalek’s Official TV Channel, which is owned by United Media Services that is part of Estadat Sports Company; the same company which owns Al Ahly TV Channel that took down Sayed Abdelhafiz’s recent interview and didn’t take any actions towards what Zamalek’s president said previously.
