Al Ahly's board of directors, headed by president Mahmoud El Khatib, held a meeting on Sunday night at the club's premises in Gezira to discuss several important files.

Here is what the board decided on during today’s meeting:

- Holding a ceremony on 27 April (15 Ramadan) to honor Mahmoud Fahmy, the club’s legal adviser, in recognition of his service to the club for more than 50 years.

- Providing more services and activities for Al Ahly’s people of determination through cooperating with experts and specialists in discovering and developing their talents as well as improving their life skills. The club will also launch a media campaign to raise community awareness about people of determination.

- Purchasing special training equipment to improve the quality of the youth sector.

- Opening new football academies at Menofia Governorate in addition to extending the contracts of some of the club’s academies.

- Establishing a new basketball academy at Kafr El Sheikh Governorate, in cooperation with the governorate’s local association.

- Establishing basketball, volleyball, handball, and athletics academies, in cooperation with Helwan Youth Center.
