Al Ahly's board of directors, headed by Mahmoud El Khatib, decided during Sunday's meeting to assign Khaled Mortagy to take on the responsibilities of the vice-president of the club.

Mortagy will hold the position until the upcoming elections, which will be held during the next General Assembly meeting.
