Mahmoud El Khatib, the club’s president, handed Al Ahly’s shield and pennant to the World Karate Federation’s delegation during their visit on Sunday to the club’s premises in Gezira. 

President El Khatib and the club's board members were keen to receive the WFK’s delegation, headed by Antonio Espinós, president of the World Karate Federation.

The delegation’s visit came as part of Al Ahly’s efforts to support the sport and the players, as Giana Farouk, Al Ahly’s karateka, won the bronze medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

On a similar note,  Mohanad Magdi, the club's board member, took the delegation on a quick tour around the club, during which they had the chance to take memorable pictures with the club’s trophy cabinet.
