Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly’s president, spoke during the huge ceremony, which was held on Wednesday at the Arab Music Institute to honor Dr. Hassan Moustafa, President of the International Handball Federation (IHF), and Hassan Hamdy, Al Ahly former President.
Al Ahly’s president handed Dr. Moustafa Al Ahly’s Golden medal and awarded him a certificate and Al Ahly’s golden coin.
“Hassan Moustafa has done so many great things for handball in Egypt and worldwide and he continues to do so. He has been at the top of handball pyramid for more than 20 years and that is enough to describe how great he is.”
“I still remember his decision to send Egyptian handball players, who were above 30 and did not play at the national team, to retirement. I was not happy with that decision but time proved he was right and helped our nation produce many more amazing handball players. He also designed programs to qualify the retired players to be cadres in management and administration.”
“All the Egyptians are very proud of this man, who is much appreciated around the world for the great achievements that he has done.”
