Mahmoud El Khatib, Al Ahly President, received on Monday afternoon Ahmed Tarek, the winner of the National Swimming Championship for people of determination, at the club’s premises in Gezira.

El Khatib announced that Tarek will join Al Ahly’s swimming team and handed him the club’s sporting membership, Al Ahly swimming team’s bag, the club’s emblem, and Al Ahly’s jersey with a printed picture of President Abdelfattah El-Sisi on the front.

Al Ahly’s President thanked President El-Sisi for his continuous efforts in supporting the sports sector in the country, which was reflected in the great development that the sector witnesses on all levels.

El Khatib also highlighted the great development and successes that Egypt is witnessing in all fields, adding that President El-Sisi is the father of the nation and his vision gives all the Egyptians hope for a brighter future.

We caught up with our new swimmer Ahmed Tarek, who expressed his happiness to be inside the club that he loves.

“I would like to thank President El-Sisi for this great gesture. My dream finally came true. I am so happy to be here at Al Ahly and to meet the club’s President Mahmoud El Khatib. I am excited to start my journey with the club of my life.”
