Sayed Abdelhafiz, Al Ahly’s director of football, stated that Aliou Dieng and Ali Maaloul will participate in the team’s training session on Thursday. 

Abdelhafiz said that Dieng and Maaloul performed several recovery drills on Wednesday aside from the team’s training session.

Abdelhafiz added that the coaching staff decided to rest Dieng and Maaloul on Wednesday to avoid them being injured, as they joined the team’s training camp after completing their international duty. 

On a similar note, the Red Eagles are currently preparing to face Tunisia’s Esperance on 19 June in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
