Al Ahly’s Director of Football Sayed Abdelhafiz praised the performance of Al Ahly players in the game against Al Merrikh of Sudan in our opening game of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Abdelhafiz added that he is happy with the 3-0 win over the Sudanese side, which came after such a strong performance.

“It was not an easy game at the beginning of our journey in the CAF Champions League group stage. I am happy with the performance of the players in the match.”

“I am delighted that Walter Bwalya scored his first goal for us and I am also glad that Saad Samir is back to participate with the team. Ajayi put on a solid performance despite being sidelined for a while.”
