Al Ahly Director of Football, Sayed Abdelhafiz spoke after our match against National Bank of Egypt SC which ended with a goalless draw. 

Abdelhafiz said that we were unlucky and missed many goalscoring chances, noting that the goal, which Ayman Ashraf scored and was disallowed by VAR, should have been counted. 

Moreover, he commented on Ashraf's goal, saying that our player jumped and scored the goal without committing any foul, while the opponent's defender did not jump. 

Also, Abdelhafiz questioned the criteria in which referees are appointed for the domestic league games.

"We are the biggest club in the country and in the continent. We also hold the record of winning the most league titles but the Referees' Committee appointed only two international referees for our previous seven matches in the league."

"I do not criticize anyone but I am just asking the head of Referees' Committee Wagih Ahmed, why are international referees not chosen for our matches?" 

"I follow matches in second division and I see many international referees officiating second division matches. However, those referees are absent from our recent matches."
