Al Ahly beat ZED FC 2-0 on second matchday of Egyptian Premier League

Al Ahly’s first football team defeated ZED FC 2-0 on Friday in the second matchday of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International Stadium.

The Red Eagles dominated the game from the outset and created several scoring opportunities, with Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki and Ahmed Sayed Zizo among those coming close to finding the net.

Bencharki opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a well-placed shot from inside the area that found the far corner of the net to give Al Ahly an early lead.

Al Ahly continued to dominate after the break, with winger Taher Mohamed Taher doubling the lead in the 61st minute after meeting a perfectly delivered cross from the left by Bencharki. Bencharki was named Man of the Match following an outstanding performance.

Al Ahly coach Hussein Ammouta introduced Soufiane Benjdida, Hussein El-Shahat and Omar El-Saie in the second half.

The substitutes made an immediate impact as Al Ahly maintained their dominance and continued to create scoring chances.

Al Ahly’s next fixture will be against Smouha in the third matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.
