Newly appointed Al Ahly head coach Jess Thorup has announced his squad for the trip to Burundi, where the Egyptian champions will face Aigle Noir in the first leg of the CAF Champions League Round of 32 on Saturday.
Aigle Noir reached this stage on away goals after a 1-1 aggregate draw with ASAS Djibouti Telecom, progressing thanks to a goalless draw at home and a 1-1 result away.
Al Ahly, who were given a bye in the first preliminary round due to their top ranking in CAF’s club coefficient, are chasing a record-extending 13th Champions League title.
