Al Ahly continue preparations for Ghazl El Mahalla game as Attia nears return

Al Ahly continued their preparations for Monday’s Egyptian Premier League match against Ghazl El Mahalla, with head coach Jose Riveiro introducing tactical adjustments during training.

The Red Eagles are set to face Ghazl El Mahalla on 25 August at Ghazl El Mahalla Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00 local time (1900 GMT).

Riveiro held a meeting with the players before the training session to address technical plans for the upcoming fixture.

Training took place at the club’s headquarters, where the Spanish coach oversaw a session focused on technical and tactical drills, with an emphasis on ball control and movement.

Meanwhile, midfielder Marwan Attia continued his rehabilitation programme as he works towards a full return to team training.

Al Ahly opened their league campaign with a 1-1 draw against Modern Sport, followed by an emphatic 4-1 victory over Pharco FC in their second outing.
