Al Ahly’s senior football team flew to Tanzania on Thursday morning ahead of their CAF Champions League Group B match against Young Africans on Saturday.
The Cairo-based side are in the driving seat in the group with seven points from three matches, while Young Africans are second on four.
Al Ahly beat the Tanzanian champions 2-0 in the reverse fixture last Friday, with winger Mahmoud Hassan, known as “Trezeguet”, scoring twice at Alexandria’s Borg El Arab Stadium.
