Al Ahly were held to a 1-1 draw by NBE Club on Tuesday in the 17th round of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo International Stadium.
The match was largely uneventful, though Al Ahly showed improvement after the break and created several clear chances that could have earned them all three points.
NBE Club took the lead through Mostafa Shalaby in the 31st minute, before Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet equalised for Al Ahly 10 minutes from time.
Al Ahly remain third in the standings on 27 points, while NBE Club are ninth with 21.
