Al Ahly’s first-team delegation, headed by board member Tarek Kandil, arrived at Cairo International Airport early on Saturday after returning from Morocco, where the team drew 1-1 with FAR Rabat in the second round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
The squad travelled directly from the Moulay El Hassan Stadium, which hosted the match, to Rabat-Sale Airport to board their flight home.
The trip took roughly five hours before landing in the Egyptian capital.
