Al Ahly’s senior football team squad resumed training on Friday without a break as they began preparations for their upcoming clash against Arab Contractors, in the fourth matchday of the Egyptian Premier League.
The Red Eagles began the session with gym work, followed by recovery exercises for the players who featured in Thursday’s 1-0 victory over Smouha.
The rest of the squad played a friendly against Team FC as part of the preparations for the upcoming fixtures and to ensure all players remain match-ready.
Al Ahly secured a 1-0 win over Smouha on Thursday, with Yasser Ibrahim scoring the decisive goal.
The victory maintained Al Ahly’s perfect record, giving them nine points from three matches.
Al Ahly opened their league campaign with a 3-2 win over Enppi before beating ZED FC 2-0 in the second round.
They will next face Arab Contractors in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday.
