Al Ahly step up training ahead of Ghazl El Mahalla game

Al Ahly continued their preparations on Wednesday for the upcoming Egyptian Premier League fixture against Ghazl El Mahalla.

The defending champions are set to visit Ghazl El Mahalla's stadium on Monday, 25 August, with kick-off scheduled for 18:00 local time (19:00 GMT).

Head coach José Riveiro led the training session at the club’s headquarters, focusing on technical and tactical drills, with an emphasis on ball work. Goalkeepers Mostafa Shobeir and Mohamed "Seha" participated in a specialized session tailored to their positions.

Meanwhile, the team's injured players commenced gym-based rehabilitation under the guidance of the coaching staff.

Al Ahly began their league campaign with a 1-1 draw against Modern Sport, before securing a dominant 4-1 victory over Pharco FC in round two.
