Al Ahly midfielder Emam Ashour will return to training on Monday after recovering from a broken clavicle sustained during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Ashour suffered the injury in the goalless draw against Inter Miami in the tournament's opening match in June, ruling him out of Al Ahly’s remaining fixtures in the competition.
Medical tests have cleared the 27-year-old to resume training, with a decision on his availability for upcoming matches to be made by head coach Jose Riveiro.
The Egyptian champions cruised to a 4-1 victory over Pharco FC on Friday in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Riveiro granted the squad a two-day rest, with training set to resume on Monday.
Al Ahly are scheduled to face Ghazl El-Mahalla on 25 August in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
