Al Ahly’s Sherif celebrates early goal against Pharco FC

Mohamed Sherif celebrated his early goal in Al Ahly’s 4-1 victory over Pharco FC, praising his team's spirit and effort in securing the win during the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Sherif, who reopened his account for the season with the goal, said the win was vital after the disappointment of last week's 2-2 draw.

“We achieved an important win against Pharco FC after the disappointing draw in the first round,” Sherif said after the game.

“We learned from our mistakes in the first match, and that gave us the motivation to secure this victory,” he added.

The Red Eagles dominated the first half, with Sherif coming close in the 9th minute with a powerful strike that grazed the bar. However, just a minute later, he made no mistake, scoring a brilliant header from inside the area to give Al Ahly an early lead.

“Scoring the early goal helped the team to achieve our target, and it came thanks to our teamwork spirit,” Sherif added.

Al Ahly will next face Ghazl El-Mahalla on Monday, August 25, in the 4th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League.
