Midfielder Emam Ashour returned to training with Al Ahly SC on Friday, taking part in the team’s full session at El Tetsh Stadium as they prepared for their upcoming CAF Champions League match against Morocco’s AS FAR.
Al Ahly resumed training after a one-day break following their Egyptian Premier League match against Ismaily SC.
The Red Eagles will host AS FAR at 6 p.m. local time on Sunday at Cairo International Stadium in the final round of the Champions League group stage.
Al Ahly have already secured a place in the quarter-finals after collecting nine points to top Group B, but will look to seal qualification as group winners in Sunday’s fixture.
