Bashar: Facing Al Ahly is a Historic Moment

AS SONIDEP’s manager Mohamed Bashar expressed his pleasure to face Al Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32.

Bashar spoke ahead of Wednesday’s game against Al Ahly, saying that he is delighted to face a club of such magnitude.

“We knew that if we qualified to the round of 32, we’ll be facing Al Ahly. Therefore, I was very happy that we managed to qualify.”

“This is the first time in our history that we’ll be facing Al Ahly. They are a tough opponent with a great history and we are looking forward to this match.”

Lastly, Bashar concluded by saying that he told his players to enjoy tomorrow’s game and avoid any kind of stress, especially that they will be playing a historic match against a tough opponent.

The Red Eagles will face Niger’s AS SONIDEP on Wednesday at the Général Seyni Kountché Stadium, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32.
