The official Twitter account of the CAF Champions League congratulated Al Ahly after our precious victory over Al Duhail SC, which sent Al Ahly to the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals.

The CAF Champions League’s account published a photo of Al Al Ahly’s players while celebrating Hussein El Shahat’s goal and posted “We would like to congratulate the African champions on the opening victory in the FIFA Club World Cup.”

Al Ahly are set to face European champions, Bayern Munich on Monday in the Club World Cup semi-finals.
