CAF suspends Al Ahly fans for two matches

Al Ahly SC has received official notification from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regarding disciplinary measures following its recent CAF Champions League group-stage match against Morocco’s AS FAR.

The CAF Disciplinary Committee issued the following sanctions:

 Fan attendance: A two-match ban on supporters attending upcoming CAF competition fixtures.

The first match will be served immediately, while the second suspension is suspended.

Financial penalty: A $50,000 fine for crowd-related incidents.

Additional fine: A further $10,000 penalty for the use of laser pointers during the match.

The sanctions stem from incidents reported during the conclusion of the group-stage match at Cairo International Stadium.

Al Ahly’s Legal Affairs Department is currently reviewing the official documentation and will take the necessary legal steps to address the decisions and protect the club’s interests.
